About Gastonia, NC - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Gastonia, North Carolina is the 13th largest city in the state, boasting a population of nearly 72,000 people. It is the county seat and largest city of Gaston County, and it is part of the Charlotte, NC Metropolitan Statistical Area. All public schools in the county are part of Gaston County Schools, and there are four public high schools in the community. While there are no institutions of higher learning within Gastonia’s city limits, Belmont Abbey College and Gaston College are located nearby.

Gastonia is home to a variety of unique things to see and do. The Eastridge Mall, which is located on North New Hope Road, is the area’s only indoor mall and provides great shopping opportunities. Families with children may enjoy a trip to the Schiele Museum of Natural History or to ride the go-karts at Adventure Landing.  Other popular Gastonia attractions include the Gaston Country Club and the Regal Franklin Square Stadium movie theater.

The climate of Gastonia consists of four distinct seasons throughout the course of a year. During the summer, conditions are typically hot and humid, with temperatures reaching the 90s an average of 40 days per year. Residents rely on their home air conditioning systems in order to beat the heat during these stifling conditions. Additionally, an efficient system can also help to improve indoor air quality by reducing dust and allergens that are circulating through Gastonia homes and businesses.

Warm autumn weather generally leads to a cool winters. Although they tend to be short in duration, the Gastonia area will see many nights in which the thermostat plummets to below the freezing point. To prepare for these potentially dangerous conditions, it is recommended that residents have their heat pump or furnace system serviced ahead of time so that they operate efficiently when needed.
